拘束の鎖が戦場に出たとき、対戦相手がコントロールしていて土地でないパーマネント１つを対象とする。それを拘束の鎖が戦場を離れるまで追放する。
エンチャントしているクリーチャーは護法を持つ。（それが対戦相手がコントロールしている呪文や能力の対象になるたび、そのプレイヤーがを支払わないかぎり、その呪文や能力を打ち消す。）
